COllabOrative Processes and sERvices for AeroNauTics and Space

As a lighthouse project within the framework of the funding competition "Innovative and practical applications and data spaces in the GAIA-X digital ecosystem", collaborative digital working models and processes are to be created in COOPERANTS that can be used within the project in the various smart services, but also represent added value for other users within the GAIA-X network, while ensuring security and legal compliance.

The DFKI part "Interactive Cloud-Based Interaction Environment for Robotics Applications in Space" is focusing specifically on the implementation of a digital twin for kinematically complex robots such as the SherpaTT walking rover. The existing control centre software for robot control is to be expanded and implemented as a smart service and tested in a pilot mission. This is intended to create the basis for the interactive use of the GAIA-X platform by different user groups for the development and operation of robots, particularly in the context of space robotics, but also in the area of Industry 4.0.
