With #WEatDFKI, DFKI gives its researchers the opportunity to showcase their remarkable work and step into the spotlight. They share fascinating insights into their research and explain how they aim to make a positive impact on the world.
In a standardized interview, the researchers talk about their personal strengths, their motivation and what drives them. They also reveal what they would have become if they had not chosen science.
Season 1
The first five women in Season 1 are representative of their peers in AI, who, while numerically underrepresented in science, are doing very valuable work in computer science, mathematics, science, and engineering. As role models, they encourage other women scientists to pursue similar careers and apply for open positions. They also inspire future generations of girls and women to pursue careers in science and research.

Season 2
In Season 2, DFKI continues its #WEatDFKI format. This is not only because of the great interest in Season 1, but also to give even more researchers the opportunity to present themselves and their work to colleagues and the public.
One of the new features this time around is that scientists who have distinguished themselves through outstanding work at the sites, in the laboratories and in the branch offices will be given the opportunity to speak. The interviews will be published once a month in no particular order.
Season 2 will begin in January 2025.
