For many years various clinical guidelines have been developed to support and improve medical care for different types of diseases. Although it has been recognized for long that following these guidelines improves the success rate of clinical care, implementation of guideline recommendations in daily clinical routine remains an open question. In this paper we describe our framework and the corresponding SHIP-Tool for orchestrating heterogeneous processes operating on a logical representation (Description Logic) and the implementation of significant parts of a clinical guideline for the management of acute coronary syndromes in this framework.
