Zusammenfassung

Process optimization is currently conducted in terms of Quality, Time, Costs, or Flexibility. With the increasing importance of ecological aspects, new and existing techniques have to be developed to support ecological process optimization. With our research we address two important issues: the lack of knowledge concerning ecological aspects and the vast amount of time it takes to review large process model corpora. To address these issues we apply techniques from the area of Compliance Checking with a collection of ecological weakness patterns that we identified during prior research. Through our approach we are able to automatically identify ecological shortcomings in process models that can be revised to reduce their environmental impact. To abstract from each individual weakness pattern, we divide them into clusters based on their semantical meaning. Consequently, we implement unique Compliance Checking methods for each different cluster. The artifact that we developed enables to find the weakness patterns in process models and provides a report that can be used for further re-design of the processes.
