Maintaining CBR systems can be a challenging task depending on the complexity of the domain and use case of the CBR system, the knowledge to maintain, and the applicable approaches. Many maintenance
policies and strategies were developed during the last decades, but mostly for specific individual CBR systems and not broadly used. This paper describes a first step towards a domain-specific language for
knowledge maintenance of CBR systems that could be used in a maintenance framework to bundle the various existing maintenance policies and strategies and give a knowledge engineer a tool to maintain CBR systems more efficient and effectively.
