Digital Transformation of Auditing: DFKI, Audicon and Four Renowned Law Firms Establish Competence Center

| Press release | Financial Sector | Institute for Information Systems | Saarbrücken

Audicon GmbH, together with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and four well-known auditing firms, has founded a Competence Center for the Digital Transformation of Auditing. In October 2021, the CCAT launched its first project to support the auditing process with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).

In successful digitization projects, people and audit methodology play crucial roles alongside technology. CCAT will therefore focus on the topics of people and methodology in addition to the technological aspects of transformation. In particular, projects will further develop the integration of data analysis into the auditing process and the development of innovative forms of work.

"We are pleased to be part of this innovative initiative. Based on the results, we will expand our offering for the digitalization of law firms and make an important contribution to the future competitiveness of medium-sized businesses," says Axel Zimmermann. "We can't wait to take the profession to the next level of digitalization with the participation of more law firms."
