INVITE Meta is the accompanying meta project for the BMBF program INVITE - Digital Platform for Continuing Professional Development. INVITE Meta supports the knowledge and innovation process in and between the projects, works on the state of the art in research and realises own studies.

The work of INVITE-Meta focuses on research questions from the context of the INVITE innovation competition: the questions arise from the goals of the INVITE announcement, from previous research literature, but above all from the INVITE funded projects themselves. With a view to developing a common vision of an innovative learning space, INVITE-Meta is working on the corresponding questions through research, workshops with experts and conducting its own studies and surveys. In addition, there is an in-depth analysis of interoperability standards and AI methods as well as the derivation of recommendations for the INVITE funding projects.

INVITE-Meta systematically elicits both work priorities, central research questions and planned and used technical standards and AI methods of the projects as well as their need for external expertise. Based on this information, INVITE-Meta promotes networking among the projects, supports the formation of clusters and systematises overarching questions, topics and findings.

INVITE-Meta prepares the answers to the central research questions in reports and dossiers and makes them available to the projects and the scientific community.

The interdisciplinary INVITE-Meta team on the DFKI EdTec Lab side consists of Dr. Berit Blanc (Communication Science, Educational Research), Dr. Insa Reichow (Psychology, Learning Science) and Dr. Faisal Rashid (Computer Science, Deep Learning).
