[Rock-dev] Help needed: improve jenkins error reporting

90% of the "build" errors we see these days are due to:
- connection problems with pointclouds.org
- connection problems with gitorious.org
- errors in autoproj (the last two days were a problem related to
patching in autobuild)
and in no case due to "actual" build problems (i.e. somebody breaking a
package).
The issue I personally see is that people disregard these mails because
of the high noise-to-signal ratio.
Would someone step up to implement a solution to this ? Ideally, but not
necessarily, integrated with jenkins.
Ideas:
* send errors that are not specific to a package build to an
"administrator email" for only a few selected people. This includes
update errors.
* send errors specific to a package build or install stages to
rock-dev *and* to the email listed in manifest.xml.
The separation between the two cases could be done through an exit
status returned by autoproj (i.e. make autoproj return a different error
in both cases). autoproj could then generate a error_notifications.txt
file of the form
<package_name> <responsible_emails>
That file can then be parsed to notify the relevant persons.
Thoughts ?
