Zusammenfassung

We present in this paper, our initial attempt in wireless power transfer for powering up various movable smart objects. Power supply is a core issue for every movable smart object. Two classical solutions to power such devices are either to plug the device or to use batteries. Plugging a movable device restricts its free movement and batteries need frequent replacement once drained. Wireless charging is an alternate solution to overcome these limitations. While state-of-the-art wireless charging solutions remain for smart phones with fixed sizes, we propose in this paper, a guideline for enabling wireless charging for smart objects of arbitrary dimensions, at the space where they are normally used. We validate the proposed guidelines with the help of an office chair as an example.
