The Charter for Digital Networking is a corporate initiative and was initiated in the course of the German Federal Government’s ‘National IT Summit’. Initiators are well-known German and international companies, associations and scientific institutions. These include the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), Deutsche Telekom, adidas, Deutsche Bahn, Robert Bosch, Cumulocity, RWE, Cisco Systems, Ericsson, GE, Intel Deutschland, ORACLE, Vodafone, Bitkom, VATM & the Hasso Plattner Institute.
With ten principles including: social and economic potential, the handling of data, non-discriminatory participation, education and qualification; as well as a joint dialogue between business, science, politics and civil society, all charter signatories are committed to making their contribution to Germany's future-oriented digital transformation. The Charter is therefore a voluntary commitment to responsible digitisation.
